Emissions Reduction
Emissions means the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere over a specified area and period of time. These greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere and warm the planet.
Our clients are asking for the optimisation of existing assets for enhanced energy efficiency, they want to use better refrigerants and build innovative new assets that reflect their sustainability and environmental goals.
Strategic asset management discussions include:
Proactively maintenance of existing assets
Enhancing the performance of existing assets
Scoping, design and installation of innovative retrofits
Design and installation of complete system replacements
New system design and installation
Decarbonisation
Decarbonisation is essentially achieved by switching to usage of low carbon energy sources such as hydro, wind or sunlight to generate electricity.
Our discussions here are all about changing plant systems from oil, coal or gas to better electricity powered alternatives which deliver both decarbonisation and real operational benefits.
This includes:
Working with government agencies for co-funding of projects
Energy efficiency programs
Fuel switching to electricity with innovative retrofits
Design and installation of complete system replacements
Asset Performance Management
Peter Drucker is often quoted as saying “You can't manage what you can't measure.”
We collect real-time data on energy usage, temperature, humidity, and other relevant parameters to provide accurate and up-to-date insights into the functioning of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Alerts or notifications are delivered when system performance exceeds or falls below the predefined thresholds. This early warning system allows prompt corrective action to be taken.
Additionally, our systems offer data logging and reporting functionalities, that enable you to access historical data and generate reports for compliance and audits, quality control analysis and performance evaluation.
We provide valuable analytics and insights into energy consumption, equipment efficiency and any maintenance requirements to reduce unnecessary costs and boost operational efficiency.
Key elements include:
Visibility for better asset management
Insights with automated site by site performance reporting
Benchmark against selected statistics
Continuous and reliable reporting for audit and governance purposes
Customisable reports to business requirements
Alerts which include site, equipment and safety information
Actionable energy management including remote resolution
Fault detection and diagnostics
Enables a technician to arrive with the correct parts for the job
Saves time, travel and expense
Implementation of our Asset Performance Management system can be completed quickly, it is cost effective and the return on investment is measurable.
Keeping it real
Our commitment is to the highest global Environmental Management Standards.
It helps us continuously improve our environmental performance at a whole range of levels through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste.
It means our business partners know we are committed to this journey and we are working at the reality end of Sustainability.
We are happy to discuss our Environmental Management Standards program, the processes involved, the dedication it requires from everyone in our business and also the meaningful rewards that flow.
We believe Sustainability will become increasingly important for good business governance in New Zealand and we will continue to invest and further develop our capabilities to support
Get in touch if you would like to discuss any of these initiatives in more detail.
In a recent review with Daikin who are an important vendor partner, their team confirmed a range of their sustainability goals and initiatives. They’re reducing net greenhouse gas emissions throughout the entire lifecycle by 30% or more in fiscal 2025 versus BAU 2019 as the base year and aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
They’re accelerating the practical use of air conditioners that use refrigerants with as little impact as possible on global warming, including energy efficiency, safety factors such as flammability and toxicity, cost and availability of the refrigerant and expense of producing assets that use the refrigerant.
Operationally, they’re looking right through their business processes with initiatives around:
Weight reduction of products
Recycled materials and parts
Better packaging
Enhanced manufacturing processes
Energy and resource conservation in use
Product life extension
Ease of deliver and installation
Possible reuse and/or recycling
