Retrofit and Replacement

We’re very involved with retrofit and replacement systems as clients look to 2030 and beyond.
 
The government is encouraging a shift to low-emission refrigerants, are likely to increase controls on imports of pre-charged equipment containing high-GWP fluorinated gases and investigate prohibiting fluorinated gases where low-GWP alternatives are available. The ETS is likely to drive NZU pricing higher and we are expecting volatility. Company directors understand Environmental and Sustainability initiatives are an increasingly important part of their job.
 
The cost of ownership of older legacy systems will change over the next few years. We don’t know the exact speed or magnitude but have a fair idea on which way the tide is flowing.
